The Forest’s Secret: Part 1
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the group of four friends found themselves lost in the depths of the forest, far from the familiar comforts of home and surrounded by whispering trees. They had started their hike a few hours earlier, but their curiosity had led them away from the well-worn trail. As they trudged through the wilderness, the minutes turned to hours and fatigue began to overtake them. With no clear sense of direction, they decided to retrace their steps, hoping to find their way back to civilization.
But then, as they were making their way back, a sudden whooshing sound shattered the silence of the forest. Startled, they looked around, only to realize that their youngest companion was nowhere to be seen. Panic set in as they searched frantically for their missing friend, calling out into the darkness in vain.
As they stood there, unsure what to do next, they heard a blood-curdling scream echoing through the trees. Without a second thought, they broke into a run, pushing through thick undergrowth and dodging low-hanging branches as they raced toward the sound.
After what felt like an eternity, they burst into a large clearing, gasping for breath. And there, in the center of the clearing, stood an old brick house that looked as if it had been abandoned for years. Despite their exhaustion and fear, curiosity and concern for their friend got the better of them, and they cautiously approached the dark, foreboding structure.
